    Description

NOTE this version has the box mentioning the ATOMIC ENERGY portions on the exterior.  The very large majority of sets that included Atomic components do not.
note when buying these, confirm the 5 following:
    atomic energy booklet.
    sealed uranium ore
    radiation screen
    spinthariscope
    atomic energy interior graphics
and optionally on a rare occasion, some actually display the Atomic graphics on the outer box like this one.
because filling any one of those holes can be a very long and costly chase after the fact.
4 panel metal box set, 42" long when open!
Senior lab #6105 in pretty good overall shape, many components still in their homes.  A few of the jar labels are floating loosely, some of the cardboard backings are showing damage from the chemicals over age, and the elastics have loosened so the packets and books don't display in their perfect little places.  The case has a few missing components and a few corroded areas.
But, the main attraction as always: still sealed uranium ore and radium screen.  Gorgeous aesthetic to this version with the full atomic panel.
These sets in this level completion have become a grail piece for science and oddity collectors at this point.  Always fun to make conversation about your Uranium ore!  Every few years a new article is published somewhere, typically referring to the ATOMIC set as almost mythical- an object only to be found in museums, or referencing David Hahn who built his own neutron source as a teen.
Finding an atomic set can be tricky.  these larger sets in this nice a shape, even moreso.  Though you can see that I have multiple sets, I do not marry parts from different sets, that is why you will often see missing parts.  It's incredibly rare to find the exact same set even within the same year of release, the details remain slightly different. Any filling of missing parts I leave up to the end buyer, it's not a choice I will make for you.
shipping these can be tricky but I've done it before a number of times. please expect a thin pipe or two to possibly break in shipping, though the glass will be packed carefully.
please feel free to ask any questions. This listing does not include any of the other sets in the background, or the radioactive sign.
