Walker Turner Radial Drill Press from Colt Firearms Plant

A piece of history! Perfect for a gunsmith or wood worker who happens to like guns! This late 1940's - early 1950's Walker Turner radial drill press is a versatile machine you need in your shop. Has original Colt Firearms maintenance tag on junction box indicating the drill press is wired for 230AC 3-Phase. The drill press is painted a beige color, not rusted heavily. The table looks like it was protected from day one with a sheet metal cover. No drill marks on table and has a coat of oil on it protecting it. Model #1616 Also has a custom motor and drum switch for moving head up and down, believed to be added while at the Colt factory as this was not an option from WT that I am aware of. I have tested with a VFD and everything works. Spindle is a little noisy and could probably use bearings. (easy to source) Does not come with the VFD but they are cheap on eBay or Amazon and can assist if you need advice on purchase or wiring. I have an overhead hoist in my shop to load onto your truck or trailer. Priced for a quick sale, these don't come up often and the Colt connection is cool.
